Terms of Use — Dram

Version 3 — 27 August 2026.

By ticking the box on first launch you accept these terms. They are short; do read them.

What Dram is

Dram computes spirit dilutions: the water to add to bring an alcohol from one strength to another, following the formula of OIML International Recommendation R 22. The application is published by Maxime Eichelberger, individual publisher (contact@creasite-design.fr).

What the figures are worth

Results are computed from the values you enter: they are worth what your measurements and your instrument are worth. A badly calibrated hydrometer, a rough meniscus reading or a wrong temperature give a wrong result, however exact the formula.

The figures are intended for craft use. They are not intended for regulatory, tax or customs declarations, nor for commercial labelling subject to legal tolerances, and they do not constitute professional advice. Before bottling a volume that matters, verify the strength with an independent measurement. That verification remains your sole responsibility.

Alcohol and local law

Dram is a technical application related to alcohol, intended for adults. It does not teach distilling and provides no production instructions. Home distilling is regulated and, in several countries, prohibited: knowing and complying with the law where you are is your responsibility.

Purchases and subscription

The application has three tiers.

The free tier gives dilution by the glass, contraction correction and hydrometer temperature correction included. It does not degrade.

Amateur + is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play, at the price shown before confirmation.

Pro is a subscription processed by Google Play, renewing automatically until cancelled. The period, the price and the next billing date are shown by Google Play before confirmation. Cancellation is done in Google Play, from your account's subscriptions, not in the application; it takes effect at the end of the current period, during which access stays open.

A free seven-day trial opens the Pro tier, once per device, with no payment and no renewal: it ends by itself.

Payments, refunds and subscription management are governed by Google Play's terms. We collect nothing directly and hold no payment details.

Warranties and liability

The application is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the price you paid for the application, and we are not liable for indirect losses — raw material, production, business — resulting from using the results without the independent verification described above.

Nothing in these terms reduces rights the law guarantees you mandatorily, including the statutory conformity guarantee applicable to digital content and services in the European Union.

Sharing

The app can compose a plain-text message — a dilution, or your list of bottles with your notes — and hand it to the app of your choice. That message passes through no server of ours: we neither see it nor keep it, and nothing leaves without an action of yours.

The photos you attach to your bottles stay on your device, in the application's private storage: they are never attached to a shared message or to an export. See the privacy policy for how they are handled.

What you share, and with whom, is yours to decide — the content of your notes as much as the choice of recipient. Once the message is sent it is outside the app, and what becomes of it afterwards no longer depends on it.

Licence and data

The application is licensed to you for your own use; it is not sold. It collects no data: see the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes

These terms are versioned and dated. If a new version substantially changes your rights, the application will ask you to accept it again.

Governing law

French law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
